tuesdays and thursdays 10am - noonged/hse classes: tuesdays and thursdays 6pm-9pmcan assist with snap application and re-certification; free income tax preparation(during tax season); free education services (ged/ hse); scrie/ drie application assistance; outside referral servicesnebhdco's golden harvest food pantry is located at 376 throop avenue, between lafayette and kosciuszko. a new york city emergency feeding partner agency since 1993, in june of 2014 we opened our beautiful new supermarket-style client choice pantry facility. with a ground level shopping floor, the pantry also has a second floor demonstration kitchen, classroom and three-station benefits center. within six months of opening the new pantry, we more than doubled the number of families served. we continue to register new families at a rate of 20-30 per pantry shift - serving a still growing need.on the pantry shopping floor: clients choose their own food, supermarket-style shopping is by family size 1-6, once per month greater selection of healthy products more fresh fruits and vegetables, including from nebhdco gardens and local farms more refrigerated and frozen products, available from reach-in units walk-in refrigerator and freezer for expanded perishables storage
